Ben Speicher
Founding School Leader 
KIPP Philadelphia Elementary Academy (KPEA)

Ben Speicher is the founding School Leader of KIPP Philadelphia Elementary Academy. Before starting KPEA in August of 2010, Ben had worked at KIPP schools for the last five years, first as a 6th grade teacher at KIPP Philadelphia Charter School and then as a pre-K teacher at KIPP DC: LEAP Academy. He completed the KIPP Fisher Fellowship as preparation to starting KPEA. He founded KIPP Philadelphia Elementary because he believes that the children of Philadelphia deserve an excellent education from the moment they first step into school.

Aaron Bass
Founding School Leader
KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy (KDCA)

Aaron Bass is a native of Philadelphia and prior to coming to KIPP, he taught both science and social studies in Atlanta. He also founded the Breakthrough Fort Lauderdale organization and served as Executive Director for three years. In 2007, Aaron joined KIPP Philadelphia Charter School as the Dean of the Upper School before completing the KIPP Fisher Fellowship. He now serves as founding School Leader of KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy, the first KIPP high school in Philadelphia.

Cheshonna Miles
School Leader 

KIPP West Philadelphia Prep (KWPP)

Cheshonna is a native of Philadelphia and an experienced educator with over a decade of experience in traditional public and public charter schools. Ms. Miles earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Morgan State University and a Master’s of Science in Leadership and Administration from Wilmington University. As a member of the KIPP community since 2008, she began her journey as math teacher in grade six at KPCS. She was the founding grade five math teacher and Lead Mentor Teacher at KWPP, then served as Assistant Principal for three years before transitioning to her current role as School Leader.

Ryane Burke
School Leader 

KIPP Philadelphia Charter School (KPCS)

Ryane, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and former Assistant Principal at KIPP West Philadelphia Prep, is the School Leader at KIPP Philadelphia Charter School. Before joining KIPP Philadelphia Schools, Ryane taught English Language Arts and Science in Brownsville, Texas. When joining the KIPP Philly team, Ryane became the 6th Grade Non-fiction Studies teacher and later, grade level chair. This year, Ryane looks forward to leading at KPCS in a community that is oriented around the idea of Team and Family, and where all students are realizing their unique potential.
