Teaching at KIPP

You will be given the freedom to innovate in your classroom, as well as the support, coaching and professional development necessary to grow as an educator and hone your craft. Every day, our teachers are transforming public education in the city of Philadelphia and proving that zip code does not determine destiny.

At KIPP Philadelphia, our teachers never teach alone. We have intentionally built a culture of sharing and collaboration because—although our teachers’ experience and backgrounds are wide and varied—every member of our Team and Family shares the whatever it takes mentality to ensure our students succeed in college and life.

Yes, KIPP Philadelphia teachers teach rigorous and engaging lessons, but they also teach life. Our teachers model care, integrity, ganas, grit, excellence and love and our KIPPsters follow suit. We push kids forward every day because we believe in their capabilities and beyond. Who are the teachers you remember most favorably? Not the ones who let you get by. They’re the ones who helped you see beyond what you saw in yourself. At KIPP Philadelphia, we are all that teacher. Be that teacher too. Join Us!
