Our fully grown elementary school is one of the highest performing elementary schools in the city that serves predominantly African-American students. It also performs above the 85th percentile in math and reading of all elementary schools in the city on standardized tests, regardless of race, family income, etc.
Our Impact & Results
In terms of growth, our West Philadelphia middle school is in the 87th percentile in math and in the 92nd percentile in reading compared to all other Pennsylvania schools.
Our high school has a 4 year graduation rate of 87%, which is 30% more than the city average
KIPP alumni graduate from college at four times the rate of the average for students with similar demographics (41% vs. 10%). This rate is also above the national average, regardless of income level.
As charter schools, we are held accountable for our results by the state, the School District of Philadelphia, and as part of the KIPP Network, we are assessed by the KIPP Foundation.
